Saigon (HCMC)-Mekong Delta-Saigon-Hoi An-Hue-Hanoi-Halong Bay-


Ke Ga-HCMC (Saigon)


Arrive Saigon. Transfer by private car from airport to hotel, rest of day free to relax.
In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with Tim & Nhung from Come & Go Vietnam.

Day 2 – Saigon/Cu Chi (B)
After breakfast, enjoy a private sightseeing tour of Saigon with English-speaking guide. The tour takes in all the main sights – Notre Dame cathedral, the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Ben Thanh Market and more. There will also be some time for shopping.
After lunch (not included), head out to Cu Chi to visit the famous wartime tunnel complex. Return to Saigon late afternoon. Evening free.

Day 3 – Saigon/Mekong Delta (B,L,D)
After breakfast, depart for the Mekong Delta where you will visit the beautiful province of Ben Tre The day includes a horse & carriage ride along palm-shaded country lanes through friendly, sleepy villages as well as a boat trip and sampan trip along the Delta’s numerous tributaries and canals, and visits to orchards to sample tropical fruit, historic temples and pagodas, as well as visiting traditional Mekong houses and workshops where you can try honey tea and coconut candy. Lunch will be taken at a local restaurant to try local specialities such as steamed king prawns in coconut juice, elephant ear fish wrapped in rice paper with fresh vegetables, and Vietnamese-style chicken curry.

In the evening you will have dinner at a local house where you will also have the chance to learn how to prepare Vietnamese spring rolls! You will also spend the night in the family home (mosquito net included) to give you a real flavour of Mekong life.

Day 4 – Mekong Delta/Saigon (B,L)
After eating breakfast at the family home, you can then take a walk to the local market before enjoying a cycling tour of the countryside, which includes a visit to a local temple, followed by a boat trip to neighbouring My Tho, where you will visit the famous Vinh Trang temple before rejoining your car & driver for the return journey to Saigon, arriving mid-afternoon.
Rest of day free for shopping and relaxing.

Day 5 – Saigon/Hoi An (B,D)
Check out of your hotel after breakfast and transfer to the airport for the short flight to Danang, from where you will transfer to your hotel in Hoi An, a beautifully preserved 17th century merchant town where you will have time to visit ancient merchant houses, the 400-yr old Japanese bridge, and the bustling market. We will also arrange a cookery class for you so you can try your hand at making your favourite Vietnamese dishes.
Evening free.

Day 6 – Hoi An (B)
In the morning you will take a cycling trip through the countryside around Hoi An to visit local farming villages. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat trip on the river to look at the lives of the local fishermen, whose methods remain unchanged in decades, and to visit a very special handicraft village located on one of the river islands.
Rest of the day free to relax & enjoy Hoi An.

Day 7 – Hoi An/Hue (B)
After breakfast, say goodbye to Hoi An and transfer by private car to the ancient royal city of Hue. After lunch, visit the beautifully preserved Royal Citadel
Rest of day free to enjoy this beautiful city.

Day 8 – Hue (B,L)
In the morning you will take a boat trip on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mua Pagoda, one of the city’s oldest temples, and the Kings’ Tombs. You will then have a vegetarian lunch served by the nuns at the pagoda, and visit the nearby orphanage.
In the afternoon, take a motorbike trip into the countryside around to Hue to enjoy beautiful views of rice paddies, traditional houses and local customs. Back to the hotel late afternoon.
Rest of day free to enjoy this beautiful city.

Day 9 – Hue/Hanoi (B)
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for the short flight to Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi. Transfer to hotel on arrival. You will then have the rest of the day free to explore this charming old city and do some shopping and sightseeing.

Day 10 – Hanoi (B,D)
A full day tour of the capital city amidst its tree-lined boulevards and magnificent French colonial architecture. Visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, Fine Arts Museum, Temple of Literature and Museum of Ethnology, and take a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake and the historic Old Quarter.
Later, enjoy another cookery class where you will learn to cook northern Vietnamese specialities.
Evening free.

Day 11 – Hanoi/Halong Bay (B,L,D)
After breakfast, depart Hanoi by minibus for the scenic road journey to Halong Bay. This natural wonder and UNESCO World Heritage Site features hundreds of spectacular limestone outcrops set in one of the world’s most stunning bays.
You will spend the rest of the day and overnight on a traditional Halong Bay junk, drifting amongst the limestone rocks. The junk will stop at islands to see how the traditional fishermen live, and you will also get the chance to go kayaking in the bay. Or you can just choose to relax on deck.

Day 12 – Halong Bay/Hanoi/Saigon (B)
After breakfast on board watching the sun rise over the bay (if you wake up early enough!), the junk will return to shore, from where you will transfer to Hanoi Airport for your return flight to Saigon.
After transferring to your hotel, you have the evening free to enjoy Saigon.

Day 13 – Saigon/Ke Ga (B,L)
After breakfast, depart Saigon by private car and travel to the little-known beach resort of Ke Ga for a couple of relaxing days on the beach. Ke Ga features miles of pure white sand and deserted beaches, and is the perfect place to unwind after your busy tour.

Day 14 – Ke Ga/La Gi (B,L,D)
After a morning on the beach, depart Ke Ga for the short drive to La Gi and your luxury overnight homestay. Run by a friend of Come & Go, the La Gi homestay is a large wooden house set in a big private garden with fishing lake and lotus pond. The house is well-equipped and has a large outdoor deck with bar, big-screen TV and DVD player. The family will cook fresh barbecued seafood for you as you enjoy the tranquility of this little-known spot.

Day 15 – La Gi/Saigon/departure (B)
Wave goodbye to your new friends in Ke Ga and transfer back to Saigon Airport for your flight back to the UK, after a truly memorable two weeks.

1. On acceptance£200 per person, Acceptance Payment/Deposit (non refundable) by bank transfer or cheque payable to “S W & M Miller”.

Your Contract for all tour arrangements is directly with our Partner Company in Vietnam to whom payment for the tour is made.

2. You pay eight weeks prior to arrival in Vietnam, or on Acceptance – 50% of the total in US $, by International Bank Transfer.

3. On arrival in Vietnam/Cambodia/Laos– the balance of 50% is payable, in US $, by Credit Card or Cash.

Cancellation Charges

35 days prior to arrival a cancellation fee of US$200 (£150) per person will be applicable.
30 days notice of cancellation a fee of 25% of the total amount will be applicable.
25 days notice of cancellation a fee of 50% of the total amount will be applicable
Less than 25 days notice incurs the full amount.
