Day 1 – Welcome to Hanoi

hanoi-vietnamOn your arrival in Noi Bai international airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide with pick-up sign board then immediately transferred to your hotel for check in. It is estimated to be 45-minute driving through beautiful rice filed to reach Hanoi centre.
Hanoi – the antique and dynamic capital: lying strategically at the centre of the triangular basin of the Red River, Hanoi is famous for numerous rivers, lakes, and mountains alongside and in the surroundings. Additionally, this antique capital is also attractive thanks to the appearance of large number of historical sites, cultural sites which witness its history of 1000-year formation and development.
Free time ideas: if you arrive in Hanoi early in the day, you are recommended to walk around Hanoi old quarter to have the first sight on this friendly city before discovering it in detail in the next day with the guidance of your private tour guide with full day city tour.

Day 2 – Hanoi city tour (B, L)

Hanoi exploration: by visiting all the most outstanding sites including historical, cultural sites and art exhibition, you will have a chance to discover some highlight periods of Vietnam history and learn about the unique feature of Vietnamese culture:
– Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum – an important historical attraction of Hanoi, known for honouring the national hero: President Ho Chi Minh – is where visitors can express their admiration and gratitude towards the common father/uncle of Vietnamese who has led the country to independence and reunification.
– Temple of Literature, which is first to honour Confucius before the establishment of Quoc Tu Giam as the first University of Vietnam, nowadays is to celebrate the doctorates and high rank scholars of Vietnam.
– Hoa Lo prison, more popularly known as the “Hanoi Hilton”, was built by Vietnam’s French colonizers as a central prison (Maison Centrale) for Vietnamese criminals.
– The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is a museum which focuses on the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam.
– Late in the day, you spend your time taking cyclo – a traditional type of vehicle to go around the old quarter, experiencing a bustling corner of Hanoi and your guide will be glad to share interesting information about Vietnamese culture and funny daily local life.
– After one tiring day with full of activities, you have time in a theatre to relax with a traditional show of water puppet before coming back to your hotel.

Day 3  – Hanoi – Halong (B, L, D)

Halong welcome: Today’s morning, you will leave Hanoi for Halong bay which is about 3.5 hours driving to the North East. On the way, you will pass through different towns, villages with thousand miles of rice fields, vegetable gardens…
Amazing Halong:
On your arrival at Halong harbour, you will be welcomed and lead to your cruise to enjoy a welcome drink and lunch.
While your board is cruising to the central of Halong for embarking, you may have a chance to see thousands of islands in various shapes which are lying randomly close to each other like a big wall.
The beauty of Halong is not only made by its wonderful nature but also its mysterious legend for its name which is literally translated as “Descending Dragond”.
The legend says that long time ago Mother Dragon and her Child Dragons were sent to descend on Earth to help Viet people fight against fierce invaders coming from the North through the sea. All current 1969 like-a-citadel standing islands were changed from thousands of pearls which were spat out by dragons to check the enemies’ advance. After that battle, Ha Long was named for the place where Mother Dragon landed; meanwhile, Bai Tu Long was named for the lading spot of Child Dragons.
The afternoon of today, you may visit one of the most natural and beautiful caves and ride kayaking to venture into hidden grottos.
Your dinner will be served with various delicious dishes in cruise’ restaurant.

Day 4 –  Halong – Hanoi (B, L)

Ha Long Discovery:
Waking up in the morning and doing exercise with Tai Chi while the sun starts shining, birds are singing somewhere will be a great start of the day and awesome moments.
This morning, you may visit another cave to discover and learn about the formation of karst caves besides some interesting stories relating.
While your board is cruising back to harbour, you have time to take a shower, pack your all luggage and check out your cabin.
Hanoi comeback:
It is another 3.5-hour to drive back to Hanoi and you will have a stop in the middle way to relax after long time sitting on the bus.
Reaching Hanoi around 4.00 pm (it could be different that depends on each cruise)
Free time idea(s): You have free last night in Hanoi, it would be great to visit Cau Go restaurant ( where you enjoy dinner whilst looking down the street to see local life and Sword Lake.

Day 5 –  Hanoi – Hue city tour (B, L)

Hue Welcome: today you will leave Hanoi for Hue city – the middle of Vietnam with 1-hour flight. Hue is located in central Vietnam on the banks of Perfume River, just a few miles inland from the East Sea. For approximately 400 years, Hue was the political and cultural centre of the Feudal State of Viet Nam. This explains why there are hundreds of historical and cultural remains located in the area.
Hue city tour: you will have lunch at a local restaurant to enjoy the tastiest central cuisines before heading to the attractions of your city tour, which will help you to learn and look back Vietnam long-life history including:
– Tu Duc’s tomb which is located in an incredible narrow valley around 8 km from Hue, is one of the most beautiful works of royal architecture of the Nguyen dynasty.
– The Imperial Citadel located in the North bank of Perfume River was built along the line of Peking’s Forbidden City, enclosed by 10-metre thick walls and surrounded by a moat.
– Thien Mu Pagoda (namely Heaven Fairy Lady Pagoda), also known as Linh Mu Pagoda, is one of the most fascinating and ancient pagoda in Hue city.
– Late in the day, you will come back your hotel and have your own free time at night to discover Hue night life – a beautifully peaceful city.
Free time idea(s): Gastronomy in Hue is famous for diversity and cheap price. Overnight in Hue
Hue Departure: today, you will leave Hue for Hoi An but firstly spend your day with wonderful scenery on the way of Lang Co beach, Hai Van pass, Marble Mountain etc.
Incredible Coastal Line:
– Lang co is one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam with gradually slope and white sand
– Hai Van pass: is called the road “a deserted ribbon of perfection—one of the best coast roads in the world.”
– Cham Museum: This fine museum has the world’s largest collection of Cham artefacts, housed in buildings marrying French-colonial architecture with Cham element.
– Marble Mountain: is a cluster of five marble and limestone hills located in Ngu Hanh Son ward, south of Da Nang city in Vietnam. The five ‘mountains’ are named after the five elements: metal, water, wood, fire and earth
– Linh Ung Pagoda: Built on a site of 12 hectares on the Son Tra Peninsula, the Lin Ung, Son Tra Pagoda is the largest in Da Nang in terms of scale and artistic architecture. The pagoda is famous for its beautiful 67-metre-tall Goddess of Mercy statue standing on a lotus-shaped platform.

Day 7  – Hoi An surrounding (B, L)

Hoi An ancient town: Hoi An is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site
Deep insight Hoi An
Your energetic day will be spent discovering the local life of farmers in the countryside of Hoi An town and also learning the history of the most highlight historical and architectural arts, etc.
In the morning, you will depart to Tra Que village, which is a small farming community located about 3 kilometres northeast of Hoi An. It’s an easy bicycle ride and a quite scenic one which involves pedalling past rice fields, glassy rivers, and lazy water buffaloes in the mud.
– Participating in dying some work of the local farmers such as: watering and fertilizing and collecting vegetables….

– The Japanese Covered Bridge is an invaluable property and has officially been established as the symbol of Hoi An. No trip to Hoi An would be completely without visiting Japanese Covered bridge.
– The Fujian Assembly Hall, which is a great example of the Chinese architecture, is believed to be built by Chinese merchants of the Fujian Province.

Day 8 : Hoi An – Danang – Ho Chi Minh (B, L)

Ho Chi Minh welcome: you will be transferred to Da Nang to take your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On your arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, our guide and driver will welcome you and drive you back to your hotel in the city centre.
Once dearly called Diamond of the Far-east with the luxury level overriding that of Hongkong or Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City is now the most populated city in Vietnam. Modern office skyscrapers, amidst Oriental style pagodas and food stalls along the street, create a dynamic urban area in very special sense. It is not oddly tidy like in Singapore, nor is urban slumps omnipresent like in India
Dynamic Ho Chi Minh City:
After having lunch in a local restaurant with tasty cuisines, you will spend you afternoon discovering the most attractive sites in Ho Chi Minh, which will help you to learn about the history and also culture of this land
– The Reunification Palace, whose architecture is a blend of traditional ritual and modern architecture, typical of the 60s’. However, the design of the complex is not as appealing to tourists as all the historical events related to this building
– The central Post Office is one of the oldest buildings in Ho Chi Minh. Being a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance and French influences, this building fascinates tourists by its typical colonial French features, from exterior to interior decorations.
– Notre Dame Cathedral, which is considered the symbol of this dynamic city, is located in the downtown of Ho Chi Minh and reaches a height of up to 60 meters
– Ben Thanh Local market: Being a bustling market in the daytime and a social centre after sunset, Ben Thanh Market is absolutely a must-see attraction of the most dynamic city of Vietnam

Day 9 – Cao Dai – Cu Chi (B, L)

Tay Ninh welcome: you will leave bustling city for Tay Ninh – a countryside near Cambodian border gate – in which Cao Dai is located. It will be 2.5 hours driving through beautiful fields and peaceful small villages to reach Tay Ninh so you should not forget to catch some nice pictures on the way.
Informative tour:
– Spend your whole morning in Cao Dai which is syncretistic Vietnamese religious movement that incorporates aspect of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and even Catholicism. The Cao Dai Temple (as it is more commonly known) was begun in 1933 in a unique architectural style that reflects its blended traditions
– Lunch will be served before you leave Tay Ninh for Cu Chi tunnels which you will visit in the afternoon.
– The tunnels were used by Viet Cong guerrillas as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous guerrilla fighters. The tunnel systems were of great importance to the Viet Cong in their resistance to American forces, and helped achieve ultimate military success.

Day 10 – Ho Chi Minh – Can Tho (B, L)

Can Tho welcome: today you will leave Ho Chi Minh bustling city behind and head to Can Tho which belongs to Mekong Delta by 3-hour driving private van.
Mekong Delta is called as the ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam, the delta is carpeted in a dizzying variety of greens. This tour offers you the lively picture of the rhythms of the mighty Mekong, where boats, houses and markets float upon the innumerable rivers, canals and streams that crisscross the landscape like arteries
Local experiences:
– Arriving in Cai Be at around 10:30 a.m., you will board a motorized boat that takes you to the floating market and spend time there for an interaction that you will see nowhere else in the world.
– Walking to reach a coconut candy, a crispy-rice-cake factory (served free with premium hot tea) and you might buy coconut candy or handcrafted items from coconut trees of Mekong Delta for souvenir.
– Getting back to the large motor boat for something different in An Binh Island. It is well-known for fresh fruits during the whole year. On the way, you have a chance to sight see landscapes on 2 long river sides and find out the life of local people in Mekong Delta.
– Enjoying your lunch in a local house where you can experience daily life of local resident
– Continuing to get on small row boats which will zigzag 20 minutes through a maze of shadow canals to enjoy the fresh air along the canal and beautiful water coconut tree scenery.
– Spending other 20 minutes riding bicycles and roaming through a village check out our natural landscape with quiet and peaceful villages or you can relax on a hammock for a short rest in Mekong Delta.

Day 11 – Can Tho – Chau Doc (B, L)

Local Floating market: you are recommended to wake up early at around 4:00 – 5:00 am to visit Cai Rang floating market to see a distinctive culture of people here.
It is said that “not being in Cai Rang floating market means not knowing the land of Tay Do – an old name of Can Tho”. Cai Rang floating market, one of the famous floating markets of the Southwest, specializes in selling fruits and agricultural products of the whole region.
Chau Doc Welcome:
– Leaving floating market for Chau Doc by 3.5-hour driving car
– Reaching Chau Doc in the afternoon and visiting Xu Lady and Thoai Ngoc Hau temple, Sam Mountain if time permits
Free time idea(s):
– It is a rural area so there are not many activities at night but it will be a good idea to spend you night with local food of “Banh Bo Thot Not”, “Tung Lo Mo”, etc.

Day 12 – Chau Doc – Phnom Penh (B)

Phnom Penh welcome: it is time to say goodbye Vietnam and continue your trip in Mekong area by heading to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It will be a four-and-a-half-hour journey by high speed boat to reach Cambodia, which will help you enjoy gorgeous scenery on the way with fresh air and green trees.

Day 13 – Phnom Penh- Siem Reap (B)

Siem Reap Welcome: leaving Phnom Penh, you will take a 1-hour flight to Siem Reap, which will be the next destination of your 15-day tour.
Siem Reap province is located in northwest Cambodia. It is the major tourist hub in Cambodia, as it is the closest city to the world famous temples of Angkor. The name of the city literally means Siamese defeated, referring to the victory of the Khmer Empire over the army of the Thai kingdom in the 17th century.

Day 14 – Siem Reap tour of Angkor (B)
