Arrival at Bandaranayake International Airport. Welcome and transfer to Colombo. Check in at your hotel in Colombo. In the late afternoon enjoy a city tour in Colombo, like many capital cities in developing countries is fast changing its face. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the old world charm is retained. For example, there is a 100-year-old clock tower and several British built colonial buildings like Cargills and Millers. Other places of interest are the Pettah bazaar – where one can shop for bargain, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Colombo museum and the Dutch Museum also will be interesting. Overnight stay in Colombo.
After breakfast, proceed to Anuradhapura. En-route visit Yapahuwa, the 03rd capital in ancient Sri Lanka. After the fall of Polonnaruwa, Sinhalese kings migrant to Yapahuwa in 1236 AD. This royal palace is situated on a rock which rises to 33 meters high rock. The entrance is concern as most imperial and majestic entrance found in Sri Lanka. Check in at your hotel. In the late afternoon visit Anuradhapura. It was the first capital and undoubtedly the grandest city of the ancient Sri Lanka. This city was developed by King Pandukabaya around 500 BC. It is the home of two World Heritage sites. Many places of historical and archaeological interest could be visited. Sri Maha Bodhi (Sacred Bo-Tree) was brought as a sapling of the tree under which Prince Siddhartha attained to enlightenment and it is over 2,200 years old and is the oldest historically documented tree in the world. At Brazen Palace (2nd century B.C), the 1600 stone columns you see are all that is left of a magnificent multi-storied residence for monks. Ruwanweliseya (2nd century B.C) is the most famous of all the Dagobas. It originally depicted the perfect ‘bubble shape” that modern restoration has not been able to accurately reproduce. ‘Samadhi’ Buddha statue (4th century AD) is one of the most famous statues, depicting the Buddha in a state of ‘Samadhi’ or deep meditation. Isurumuniya rock temple (3rd century B.C) is well known for its rock carvings. Overnight stay at Anuradhapura.
After breakfast, proceed to Giritale. En-route visit Aukana Buddha statue. Hotel. Aukana is 42 feet high standing Buddha’s statue which was done in the time of King Dathusena in 5th century. After your visit at Aukana visit Ritigala, which is a ruined castle and hospital and stone bridge. Check in at your hotel in Giritale. Overnight stay at Giritale.
After breakfast enjoy a city tour in Polonnaruwa, which was the 2nd capital city of Sri Lanka built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD, and which is a world heritage site. Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya where 4 splendid statues of the Buddha in ‘Upright’, ‘Sedentary’ and ‘Recumbent’ postures carved out of rock could be seen, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath, the statue of king Parakramabahu, and the Parakrama Samudraya – a lake built by King Parakramabahu the great. There are also monuments of famous places of worship such as the Shiva Temple, the Lankathilake, the Watadage, the Galpotha, the Kiri Vehera and the remains of a former Temple of theToothRelic. Overnight stay at Giritale.
After breakfast, transfer to Sigiriya. Sigiriya is considered as by many to be the 8th wonder of the world. Sigiriya is famous for it’s remarkable frescoes, known as the “Sigiriya Maidens”. Sigiriya was a royal palace, which was situated on a 600 ft. high rock. After your visit at Sigiriya proceed to Dambulla to visit another ancient temple. Dambulla cave temple. Transfer to Kandy. Check in at your hotel in Kandy. In the evening proceed to Kandy city to visit the most relic Temple of Relic Tooth and to enjoy a Kandyan culture show. Overnight stay at Kandy.
After breakfast transfer to Airport for the departure..

Your Contract for all tour arrangements is directly with our Partner company organising your tour in the country of your choice, to whom payment for the tour is made.
2. Eight weeks prior to arrival in the country of your choice (or on Acceptance) – 50% of the cost is payable in US$ (or the currency of the country) by Credit Card or International Bank Transfer, direct to the company in the country of your choice. 3. On arrival in the country of your choice – the remaining 50% is payable, in US$ (or the currency of the country) by Credit Card or Cash.
Cancellation Charges 35 days prior to arrival a cancellation fee of £100 per person will be applicable. 30 days notice of cancellation a fee of 25% of the total amount will be applicable.
25 days notice of cancellation a fee of 50% of the total amount will be applicable
