DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL
Pick up at the airport then transfer to Hanoi city then check in hotel. If time permits, enjoy seeing the city at night.

DAY 2: FULL DAY DUONG LAM VILLAGE

Leave Hanoi in the morning to visit Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River Delta. Explore the village with many preserved hundred-year-old houses. It will be your unique experience while walking along tiny ancient alleys; visiting Mong Phu temple in Mong Phu hamlet – the only hamlet whose original village entrance gate remains intact, dedicated to national heroes. Enjoy some talk with the locals in their own ancient houses while visiting the ancient houses there. Leaving Duong Lam village with the deep understanding on farming will give you exciting experience ever. Lunch at local house with traditional Vietnamese food, this is another chance for you to get into Vietnam’s countryside daily life in real local atmosphere and with traditional but wonderful Vietnamese dishes in normal way.  After lunch, drive back Hanoi to visit Thang Long Royal Citadel (NEW) which has been recognized as a World Cultural Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Then visit Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first university, established within the temple in 1076 to educate the mandarin class. Tran Quoc pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple are the next stops to visit.

DAY 3: FULL DAY FARMER TOUR IN NINH BINH

Brief Itinerary
The province of Ninhbinh is well-known for its stunning scenery of imposing limestone outcrops and tranquil meandering rivers. The countryside surrounding the town makes for an ideal escape from the capital city Hanoi after a 100km drive northwards. There are small villages and hamlets where the real charm of Ninhbinh is to be found. The rural communities are linked by single lane roads and tracks often accessible only by two-wheeled transport, and indeed the best and most rewarding way to explore this area is by bicycle. This tour brings you to a countryside which might be the last remaining of Vietnamese farming area not affected by the world outside; bamboo scenes, hilly rice terrace, simple and hospitable local farmers are reachable.


Detail itinerary

  • 8:00: Leave Hanoi by minibus or car, enjoy landscape and guide story on the way.
  • 10:30: Arrive Van Long house on stilt then take a bike to go biking through hamlets, temples, pagodas, common house and countryside market with 7km cycling.
  • 11:30: Be at Cau Vang hamlet (golden bridge) at Gia Hoa commune to take part in working with the local farmers by catching crabs, fishing, transplanting in the field and bailing out water for about an hour.
  • 12:30:  Enjoy cooking with local chef at Van Long house on stilt.
  • 14:30: Continue to explore Van Long lagoon in 1.5 hours.
  • 16:30: Finish the tour then back to Hanoi.

DAY 4: HANOI – HALONG

You will be picked up at 8am and driver for around four hours through the Red River Delta to Halong City. On the way, stop for some refreshment and take a chance to buy hand-made souvenirs at a handicraft center (run to raise money for disabled people). Upon arriving in Ha Long City, take all stuff and move on to the junk waiting. Check in private cabin with A/C, following fresh sea lunch while cruising through amazing landscape of cliff stone mountains emerged from green crystal water. Spend the afternoon time for visiting biggest cave, swimming, relaxing at the beach or enjoying kayaking to explore lagoon. Dinner and overnight on boat

DAY 5: HALONG – HANOI – HOI AN

Early birds can attend a Tai Chi Exercising Group on the sundeck at the break of dawn. Start the day enjoying some Paradise delights with a colorful buffet breakfast. Continue exploring Halong Bay by sailing across its 2000 islets and visiting some of its major highlights. Your Paradise Cruise will come to an end on Tuan Chau Island between 10:30 and 11:00. From Halong, transfer directly to the airport then take the flight to Danang. Arriving at Danang, transfer to Hoian for hotel check-in and R & R by yourself.

DAY 6: BECOME A FARMER AT TRA QUE VILLAGE

Tra Que is a charming village on the edge of Hoi An. The name of the village is from many kinds of sweet scented vegetables – main supplying source for Pho Hoi people to spice up their daily meals. Here a new spirit for traditional Hoi An dishes like Cao Lau, Quang noodles, the local ‘Tam huu’ spring roll (made from Tra Que vegetables) and cake with meat (Banh xeo) has been enlivened. Experience a day of living and working with the local people in Tra Que vegetable village, in which you will have a chance to discover the daily life of farmers.

Take a trip around the vegetable gardens and join the farmers in preparing the land and fertilizing it with seaweed from the local lake. Continue with raking, sowing, watering greens, picking greens… Spend the rest of the morning working on the land before breaking to prepare lunch with the family. Your lunch will consist of many local delicacies including “Tam huu” spring roll, Banh xeo or local pancake.  After your lunch and the exertions of the morning, take an even more traditional Vietnamese post-prandial nap before learning how to harvest and wrap the vegetables. Around 15:00, bid farewell to your host family before riding back to Hoian, on the way back, stop at Nhat tomb and Ba Le well. Finish the tour at 16:00.

DAY 7: HOIAN – HUE

Meet at hotel in Hoian then transfer out for a city tour to visit the ancient architecture of Hoian – a fascinating combination of Vietnamese traditional characters with Chinese and Japanese influence. There are plenty to see in this delightful town, some of which are the famous Japanese Covered Bridges; the Pottery Museum; the 200 years old Tamky House; the Chua Ong Pagoda; the vibrant market.

Afternoon, drive to Hue City. When arriving in Hue, check in hotel.

DAY 8: HUE TO SAIGON

Meet the guide and transfer to visit Hue Citadel – Vietnam’s former imperial capital and recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. With an area of 500ha and a system of three circles of ramparts, namely from outside to inside: Kinh Thanh Hue (Hue Capital Citadel), Hoang Thanh (Royal Citadel) and Tu Cam Thanh (Forbidden Citadel) and Khai Dinh Tomb, Hue Citadel is the result of the interminglement of many architectural trends: European and Asian, as well as ancient and modern. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon take flight to Saigon.

DAY 9: SAIGON TO MEKONG
Morning, pick up at your hotel and transfer about 136km to Vinhlong, a riverside town located in the Mekong Delta. Enjoy a boat cruise to the Caibe floating market with sellers and buyers bargaining and exchanging goods from their boats, and then go to Hoa Binh Phuoc islet where the maze o shady creeks will surely fascinate you. You will have a change to mingle with local peasants, learn the secrets of their bonsai gardening. Visit local homes where the families produce tiles and ceramics; drop into rice-paper kiln and coconut-candy kiln; and observe daily country life. A typical Vietnamese lunch at a local home will be arranged. After lunch, transfer back to Saigon

35 days prior to arrival a cancellation fee of US$200 per person will be applicable.
30 days notice of cancellation a fee of 25% of the total amount will be applicable.
